THE STORY

Businde Washing Station, located in the northern province of Kayanza, collects cherries from around 650 local farmers living within about three miles of the station. It is owned and operated by Matsitsi Zuberi, and focuses and producing high quality specialty coffee. Matsitsi pays 20% above the local market rate for high quality cherries, and the washing station staff make nearly 60% more than typical casual labor rates. This is a fully washed coffee, which includes soaking, sorting, fermentation, and around 20 days of drying on raised beds.

We taste mostly orange, chocolate, and apple, but this is a really complex coffee with a lot going on. Try it!
