THE STORY

Muarandia Factory is in Murang’a County, the birthplace of the Kikuyu community. The factory operates in Kenya’s central region under the Murarandia Farmers’ Cooperative Society – which also includes additional well known processing centers (known as a factory) Gatuya and Kahuro.

This coffee was grown in red loamy soil at 1600 – 1800 masl, slowly ripening at the high altitude in cool temperatures.  The varietals are mostly SL-28 and SL-34, with just a little Ruiru 11 for disease resistance.

In the cup we taste mango, lime, brown sugar, chocolate, with lots of good acidity and red wine tannicy vibes.

We love Kenyan coffee so much and we are overjoyed to share this one with you.
