THE STORY

This coffee is from the Sheka Zone, Masha district, in the town of Yeppo.  This is a single producer coffee grown on a single 850-hectare area.

The coffee farmers’ name is Haile Gebreselassie. His family was very poor when he was a child. He and his family overcame a number of significant challenges, and Haile ended up being one of the most celebrated distance runners in history. A 1998 documentary called Endurance highlights his achievements. Now, he grows coffee.

This is a beautiful natural process coffee, heirloom varietals grown and high altitude. We taste tons of blueberry, as well as chocolate.
