THE STORY
This is a stunning washed process grade 1 Ethiopian coffee, from the Gedeb Woreda region, in the Chelbesa Village, processed at the Danche washing station. This is a relatively new washing station built in 2019 with the goal of purchasing exclusively red cherries from the nearby farmers. Their fermentation tanks are made of ceramic rather than concrete, which retain heat better, which helps bring clarity to the coffee by speeding fermentation. The coffee is soaked for 72 hours before being dried on raised beds. It is grown at a staggering 2200 masl, which encourages super dense coffee seeds.
This is a super sweet coffee with tons of citrus flavors like lemon and lime, along with some tropical fruit notes like Kiwi.
